“AN EXPERIMENTAL FILM DEALING WITH THEMES OF SEPARATION AND CONNECTION, ANDREW HUANG’S LATEST IS A JAW DROPPINGLY GORGEOUS VISUAL SYMPHONY IN 3 MOVEMENTS.” – Short of the Week
Through pure luck I found this short movie and I’m glad I did, because they did such a beautiful job. It’s a great assortment of colors and movement as the characters are floating or almost dancing around each other, briefly or barely touching. I admit, it’s trippy and it makes you wonder if drugs were involved, but I appreciate it all the same.
I still need some time to apprehend the “philosophical depths” to the movie — I didn’t watch it but five minutes ago — so I’m going through a review by the website Short of the Week and re-watching it. SOTW also handed the makers of the movie the New Media award this year.
In addition, I’m checking out Huang‘s own website; it’s pretty cool.
